Logosport central defender, Julian Maidana, 32 years, signed a two year contract with Argentine premiere team Newells Old Boys in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Julian Maidana had previously captained Talleres of Cordoba after a very positive year at Livingston in Scotland. Logosport CEO traveled to Rosario to complete the transfer. "Julian Maidana is one of the best defenders in Argentina comparable to Samuel. His arrival at Newells Old Boys will considerably reinforce their bid to win a title next year. We are very pleased for him and for the team." said Eric Manasse.

Maidana scores winning goal for Newells Old Boys versus Rosario Central, 1-0.

Julian Maidana proved to be an instant hit among Newells fans by scoring the only goal for Newells Old Boys and defeating Rosario Central. It was the first time in 6 years that city rivals Newells Old Boys had defeated Rosario. Maidana went on to defend the 1-0 score with a masterfull defensive demonstration.
